The Big Wahoo Move Into Kadavu Waters

Just had Garry Barmby and Shane Mensforth over for a quick 2 day fish aboard Bite Me.
Garry is the owner and MD of Angling Adventures, one of Australia's leading gamefishing holiday travel agents. Shane is the Publisher / Editor of South Australian Angler Magazine as well as writing for a number of other magazines such as Saltwater Angler.
Day one on the North side of Kadavu Island we caught a number of different species including mahi mahi, wahoo and narrow barred (Spanish) mackerel but the big fish eluded us.
Day 2 we worked the South side of the island and with slightly cooler water, we found the big wahoo. Garry's best fish was comfortably over 30kg (65lbs) and Shane finished the day with a beauty that weighed in on IGFA Weighstation Matava Resort's certified scales at 37kg (81.40lbs)
Good to see the bigger wahoo moving in. Its been a slightly late start to the winter wahoo run but it looks like we will be getting some monster hoo this season.

Keep that frigging thing away from my brand new combings !!!
